THE VISION OF THE SOUTH

"Make no small plans: This is the vision I have for the South. I believe that one day the South will baptize more people into the church than all other English speaking missions in the world together....We will see the time when we will baptize hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands...In your day you will see a million members of the church in the South. There will be temples plural in the Southern States. What a great call you have to serve with these marvelous people." President Spencer W. Kimball

New President! (June 30)

Hi I'm back. My companion Elder Herbert is getting transferred so that means I have to take over another area....  My district is us, the sister missionaries and a senor couple who are awesome.  The sister missionaries love hispanics and react well to them. They are good missionaries.  Really new and but getting to know the ropes.  They do a good job.  I don't know where my companion is going or who I am getting.

The new prez is good!  I think he will be good for the mission because he is going to make us uncomfortable. With Prez. Wall we got comfortable.  We knew him and what he wanted. Comfort is not a good thing on a mission cause then you get complacent and disobedient. The new president is also pushing numbers.  That is hard for some missionaries but numbers are important as long as they have people attached to them.  Meaning lessons taught in a week, just a numerical record of what we are doing.
